Another ( very reliable ) source tells me that XP679 arrived at Linton in Jan 68 ( 1st GIN Show - 18 months later ) & left in April 1970

Here's XP679. NOTE, this photo was taken whilst XP679 was NOT based at Linton. ( Presumably after 1970 )
It has the wrong "Tail number" & no 1FTS markings.
Here's a shot from an unknown date/location showing XP679 /36 flying #4 in the Linton GIN team
XP679 /36 is one of the Jet Provosts shown below. Probably the one at the back.
