Linton Blades - Valance, France
14 May 1973
The team left Linton on 11 May 1973 & flew 55 Mins to Manston. After refuelling they flew another 70 Mins to Tours ( France ). The final leg Tours => Valance ( France) was a 60 Min flight & also done on the 11th.
A practice flight was done on the 12th. Mervin Fowler using a different plane than the one he flew to France.
The full show was done on the 13th May.
The team & ground crew returned to the UK via a slightly different route Valance => Tours => Wattisham => Linton on the 14th May.

XW404 / 77 was also in France, probably "relegated" to backup aircraft. Mervin flew it on the outward leg, but did the practice, show & return leg in XW304 / 62.

Neil Carnegie ( Adjutant & Commentator ) flew XW374 / 75 on the outward leg & returned in XW311 / 69
