The August 1970 SCAN Newsletter ( www.ScottishAirNews.co.uk ) also lists XW310 / 70 as taking part in the display ( presumabley Joe's aircraft for this show ) & XW300 / 59 being there as the backup aircraft.

The also wrote in their newsletter :- ....Hard on their heels came the "Blades", the aerobatic team of No.l FTS, Linton-on-Ouse, operating Jet Provost T.5's. On this occasion they used 4 aircraft ..... Their spare on this date, XW300 "58" , stayed on the ground. Despite the fact that this is the team's first season on the T.5, they put on a very polished display indeed.
