Linton Blades - Kitzingen (Germany) 1973
3 June 1973
The team left Linton on 1 June 1973 & flew 50 Mins to Manston. They had an overnight stop there. On 2nd June the team flew 55 Mins to Wildenrath ( Germany ). After a refuel, they flew another 50 mins to Kitzingen ( Germany ). Not content with already flying 2hrs, the team then did a practice show ( only 3 aircraft took part ).
The full show was done on the 3rd June.
Later in the day, on the 3rd June, the team & ground crew returned to Wildenrath & had an overnight stop.
On the 4th June, the team returned to the UK via Wildenrath => Manston => Linton.

Neil Carnegie ( Adjutant & Commentator ) flew XW312 / 71 to Manston on the outward leg & the rest of the weekend he flew XW306 / 65. Neil did not fly the show.
Mervin flew XW306 / 65 for the 3 ship practice on the 2nd June.
