S.S.A.F.A. International Air Pageant



The excellent RAF Church Fenton website shows that Jet Provosts from 1FTS ( Linton-on-Ouse) flew an Aerobatic Formation display at their show on 29 May 1967.
No team name is mentioned, just that the aircraft were from 1FTS.

I saw this British Rail flyer advertising the show on eBay.

Originally, I was sent a partial scan of the following newspaper article below by David Watkins. - MANY THANKS !. The quality isn't brilliant, but I've cleaned it up as much as I can ( or dare ).
The article is from the Yorkshire Evening Post dated 29 May 1967, the date of the show at Church Fenton.


The YEP archives couldn't find this exact page ( they probably archived a version from a different region ). But they did send me this ... :-)
